Rich joined Three Arch Partners in 1998. Prior to Three Arch, Rich trained in general surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. He was also a research scientist at the UCSF School of Medicine and Harvard Medical School where he authored numerous peer reviewed articles and abstracts. Rich has been an active investor and board member in numerous biotechnology, healthcare service, and medical device companies. Rich has a BS in Biology from Stanford University where he graduated with honors and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He has an MD from Harvard Medical School where he graduated cum laude. While at Harvard, Rich was named a Howard Hughes Scholar for his research efforts.
